Sonya Lazarevic graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine May 2008. She is starting her residency in a NYC hospital for psychiatry this July. She has a M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University and earned an Advanced Yoga Teacher Certificate from the Integral Yoga Institute of NY. Additionally, she has informal training and exposure to other CAM healing arts.
In 2000 she began her search for advanced training in health care starting with holistic healing disciplines, leaving no stone unturned. To her surprise she realized Medicine was the path and shortly after enrolled in pre-med courses to begin her preparation for a career in medicine. Although her interests in health started from a holistic view point, she saw the benefit and value of having access to all healing modalities in order to reach the common goal: health and wellness.
